Gracia was very motivated on her study. Her major was not easy to handle and she faced many obstacles during her thesis project, but she did her best to graduate. Her thesis was about fermented moringa leaves for antidiabetes. In January 2024, she successfully completed the thesis seminar and comprehensive exam. Heliconia is so proud of her!
Gracia graduated Pharmacy at Universitas Pancasila in May 2024. Naomi (Head of Student Affairs) and Paska came to her graduation ceremony to congratulate her. We had lunch together with her family and ibu Sri (a caregiver at the Hati Suci shelter where she grew up) to celebrate her graduation. After comlpeting her bachelor’s degree with a Heliconia scholarship, the Hati Suci shelter gave her another scholarship to continue her further study to be a professional pharmacist at the same university. We are sure Gracia will not waste this valuable opportunity!
Gracia wrote in her last message:
‘Thank you Heliconia for helping me to reach my dream. Thank you for accepting me to be part of your community, thank you for giving me such an extraordinary opportunity to study at university, and thank you for always supporting me. Now, I am continuing my study in the pharmacist profession. Once again, thank you very much Heliconia for your kindness. I am very proud to be part of Heliconia.’
