Our Head of Student Affairs Naomi visited the board in the Netherlands. Because of Naomi's first time pregnancy, she came over as soon as possible. In January 2022, Naomi arrived in a cold and rainy Holland, during a Covid-19 lockdown. Regardless of these less fortunate circumstances, we had a lovely time together! Naomi stayed with founder and operational manager Carli Kooper. Together they visited the other board members and had fruitful meetings about the progress of the Heliconia Scholarship Foundation. They also shared about their personal lives, to get to know each other better and on deeper levels. Of course, visiting beautiful Dutch sites was also part of the itinerary. We all very much enjoyed Naomi's visit and look forward to meeting again!
One of our foundation's main bedrocks is that we are dedicated to each other on a personal level. Over the years, we have learned that commitment to each other is the most important key to our success. By investing in our mutual ties we ensure that we stay together as the Heliconia Community and keep up our good work. Staff and students all feel most motivated to give their best, when we are aware of each other's efforts in making this charity a success. Therefore, we make sure to visit each other every few years. Cooperation partner Mili Chana already visited the Netherlands in 2016, and Carli came over to Jakarta several times. In this way, we can get to know each other ever better and renew our bonds and friendship.
