Lenny is one of the smartest Heliconia students. During her studies, she was often tempted to be distracted, but Lenny succeeded in finishing her study without any big issue at campus. She was frustrated during her thesis project, but she didn’t give up. Heliconia had trust that she would make it.
Lenny graduated for the Law major at Universitas Tarumanagara in October 2024 with a GPA of 3,74. Naomi (Head of Student Affairs) and students Paska and Nethania came to her graduation to congratulate her. It was a day full of happy tears during her graduation ceremony. Lenny has no parents, no family, no relatives to celebrate this special moment. Ibu Nining and Ibu Sri (the caregivers at the Hati Suci shelter where she grew up) came to her graduation ceremony to witness her success in study.
Lenny wrote in her last message:
‘The support that I’ve received from Heliconia was invaluable. I’m grateful for it. I want to express my deep gratitude for everything that Heliconia has provided. The scholarship has been a tremendous support throughout my academic journey, and the Heliconia’s resources, mentorship, and sense of community have been incredibly valuable. With Heliconia’s support, studying at university has opened doors to new opportunities, helping me grow both academically and personally, and giving me the confidence to make a positive impact in the world.’
