Vanna graduated!

During Vana’s study, there were so many obstacles, that she almost gave up on her education. Then Naomi, our Head of Student Affairs in Indonesia, visited her house to encourage her to continue. Vana felt motivated again and showed to us that he had what it takes to finish her study well. Her thesis was titled ‘The Academic Self-Efficacy of Students in Online Learning During the COVID-19 Pandemic at the Heliconia Scholarship Foundation’. We are so happy that she chose Heliconia as the topic for her thesis.

Finally, Vanna graduated on January 18th, 2023. Vanna graduated for the major Guidance & Counseling at Universitas Kristen Indonesia in Jakarta. Naomi and students Paska, Lenny, Lisa, and Nethania came to her graduation to congratulate her.

Vanna is now working as a teacher at ABC Kids School in Jakarta. We are very proud of her and very happy that she can now help to provide for her family!

Vanna wrote in her last message:

‘I am truly grateful for the many blessings I have received as a Heliconia student. Thanks to this second chance, I was able to earn a bachelor’s degree in education. Through Heliconia’s kindness, I can now provide the best for my family. I can also be a good example for other youngsters. Thank you Heliconia.’
